Damian Barrett Names A Front Runner For Tom Rockliff

Damian Barrett has told the Saturday Rub this afternoon the front runner for Tom Rockliff's services next season.

Rockliff has been testing the market this off-season and has been linked to a number of clubs, but Damo believes Carlton are in the box seat. 

"Tom Rockiff will go to Carlton, I believe, either way," Barrett said.

There has been speculation that Carlton will wait to see what happens with midfielder Bryce Gibbs before they act on Rockliff. 

Gibbs has been strongly linked with the Adelaide Crows. 

But Damo thinks that Rockliff will be at Carlton regardless of what happens with Gibbs.

"Whether Gibbs stays or goes, there is enough evidence now to know that Carlton are very keen on that man," he said. 

Port Adelaide are the other club that have strong links with Rockliff but Carlton appear to be the front runners. 

The 27 year-old is a restricted free agent has played played 154 games with the Lions since debuting in 2009.
