Triple M Footy’s Damian Barrett has told The Rush Hour that North Melbourne and St Kilda are very keen to recruit Collingwood star Jordan De Goey.

De Goey is out of contract at the end of the season and is yet to agree on a new deal with the Magpies.

The fourth-year midfielder/forward has been in scintillating form this year, booting 15 goals from six games, including bags of five and six in the last three weeks.

“What he’s doing is just putting dollars with each game that he is playing onto his contract,” Damo said on Monday.

“North Melbourne and St Kilda are the two that have put serious work on him, even last year, by way of a future with them.

“There’s a stay and go price. The go price now is up to around 750 to 800,000 dollars, and if he keeps playing the way he keeps playing, he can add a bit to that as well.

“Collingwood won’t go near that money to have him stay, and they will be relying on the fact that they have stuck by him and helped him through these numerous periods of turmoil.

“But when it’s all said and done, he’s got to make the decision that’s best for him.”
