Damo Says Dahlhaus Departure Consistent With Dogs’ Shabby Player Treatment

Triple M Footy’s Damian Barrett believes Luke Dahlhaus’ decision to leave the Bulldogs is further evidence that the club has not been able to handle the success that came with their 2016 premiership.

Dahlhaus is the latest premiership Dog to want out of The Kennel and is expected to join Geelong on a four-year contract.

It's been a terrible last two years for the Dogs, with the team only winning 19 games, and Damo reckons the Bulldogs’ treatment of their players has been “questionable”. 

“Luke Dahlhaus was a once-celebrated person of that footy club – there were junior academies linked to his name,” Damo told Triple M’s Rush Hour during The Midweek Rub. 

“Shane Biggs retired prematurely, Jack Redpath is expected to do the same, Mitch Wallis has been, I think, questionably treated over the journey and he’s still got a decision to make as to whether he stays or goes but it’s been very, very line ball for a long time already.

“I think the general treatment of him and others has been questionable by the Bulldogs.”

Another Bulldogs premiership player Jordan Roughead looks set to join West Coast this off-season after meeting with the club last week.
