Triple M Footy news breaker Damian Barrett says that breakout Geelong star Tim Kelly “could well not be” at the Cattery at the end of the trade period.

Kelly has been a revelation for the Cats after being drafted from the WAFL, which has led to the two West Australian clubs looking to try and get the 24-year-old to move home.

Speaking on the Saturday Rub yesterday, Damo said that there is a chance that Kelly may not be at the Cats next season despite being contracted — and one particular club from WA is already actively courting him.

“He (Kelly) is contracted for next year, but there’s going to be a significant push — and there already has been — from the two Perth clubs to get him across to the them,” Damo said.

“One of their really good shining lights out of 2018 could well not be there at the end of this trade period.”
