Dan Hannebery and Gary Rohan have both informed Sydney they are open to a trade.

TOM BROWNE REPORTS:

Rohan has expressed his interest to return to Victoria to be closer to family.

The 27-year-old played 11 games across the 2018 season, kicking seven goals up forward.

Hannebery, a Victorian, has nominated St Kilda as his preferred destination.

The 27-year-old, who is a three-time All-Australian and one-time AFLCA award winner, averaged just 19 disposals a game in 2018 and played just 15 games as he battled with his fitness.

“We understand Dan and Gary’s reasons for exploring a move home to a Victorian club to be closer to family,” Sydney's head of football Tom Harley said.

“Both Dan and Gary have separate and unique circumstances for wanting to explore going home and as a club we are mindful and respectful of those circumstances.

“As a result, we are open to exploring a trade for the pair at next month’s trade period and will look to secure the best result for the club.”
