Adelaide veteran David Mackay will continue his career at the Crows, signing a one-year extension.

The 30-year-old, who reached 200 games for the club last week, told Adelaide's website he was proud to stay on.

"Adelaide has been my home for a large period of my life and my family and I could not be happier," Mackay said.

"I am enjoying my footy as much as ever and the club is well placed for success going forward.

"Importantly, this playing group is united and determined and I am thrilled to be part of it."

Adelaide's general manager of list management and strategy Justin Reid said Mackay had become an important part of their side.

“David is a greatly respected member of our playing group and provides valuable experience and versatility,” he said.

“The fact that he reached the 200-game milestone is a testament to his work ethic and attention to detail with his preparation and recovery.”
