Triple M Footy can confirm that Jarryd Lyons will join the Brisbane Lions after being delisted by Gold Coast on Wednesday.
Lyons’ delisting came as a surprise given he was ranked No.1 at the Suns for clearances in 2018 as well as No.1 for contested possessions, No.2 for average disposals, No.3 for tackles and No.3 for inside 50s
The former Crow also made an instant impact at Gold Coast in his first year there as he was ranked No.1 for contested possessions at the Suns in 2017 as well as No.2 for clearances, No.3 for disposals, No.3 for tackles and No.4 for inside 50s.
Lyons will now link up with his brother Corey who is on the Lions’ list but is still yet to debut after two years at the club.
Lyons will join Lachie Neale (Fremantle), Marcus Adams (Western Bulldogs) and Lincoln McCarthy (Geelong) as pick-ups at the Lions this post-season
The 26-year-old played 37 of his 92 career games with Gold Coast.
