Former Collingwood player Lachlan Keeffe has been picked up by GWS as a delisted free agent.

Keeffe was cut by the pies at the end of this season after 40 games since being drafted at pick 69 in the 2009 rookie draft.

Keeffe suffered a season ending injury in 2012 after an ACL injury required him to get a knee reconstruction, and he was banned for the 2015 and 2016 seasons after testing positive to the banned substance Clenbuterol with teammate Josh Thomas.

Keeffe used to the two year ban to move back in with his parents in Queensland and study.

The two of them were both delisted by the Pies after the ban was announced, but told they’d be relisted for 2017.

Keeffe was picked up as a rookie this season after serving his two year ban, but wasn’t able to get on the park for the senior team.
