On the Sunday Rub on Triple M, Wayne Carey ranked his top 10 on-ballers in the competition.
To a little surprise, 2015 Brownlow Medallist Nat Fyfe wasn't on the list.
"I was sitting down a couple of days ago, and I was thinking about (Nat) Fyfe, and where does Fyfe sit," Duck said.
"Is he right now in the top 10 on-ballers in the competition?
"He's not. He's not in the top 10, believe it or not."
Dennis Cometti, on Triple M's pre-game coverage of Fremantle/Collingwood, overheard those comments and agreed.
But he has a slightly different take.
"I think the Duck is going soft! I think you're going soft, Wayne!" he laughed.
"Because he's not in the top 25 (midfielders).
"Figures tell you that...no doubt he's really struggling. His kicking is poor."
Dennis said coming back from a broken leg has been tricky for Fyfe.
"I mean, he's trying hard. It may come back," he said.
"It's a serious injury he's coming back from, we've said that before, so he'll be fine, but it's not going to happen overnight, and it's not going to happen necessarily today.
"But then again, it only takes one day and suddenly he's back in form."
