Dom Sheed Has Been Given The Keys To The City Of Kalgoorlie

West Coast premiership hero Dom Sheed has been given the keys to his home city of Kalgoorlie in a ceremony on Sunday.

Sheed was paraded around town on the back of a ute on Sunday, then was handed a framed certificate from the mayor of Kalgoorlie-Boulder, John Bowler.

Sheed — affectionately known as the King of Kalgoorlie — famously kicked the winning goal in the grand final from the boundary line.

Sheed’s award was part of the city’s annual St Barbara’s Day parade, commemorating the patron saint of mining safety.
