Triple M's Dr Rohan White has said Travis Cloke could have a severe cartilage injury, much like what happened with Adelaide forward Josh Jenkins.

Cloke went off the field in severe pain late in the Bulldogs' win over North Melbourne last night, and later went to hospital.

White compared the injury to what Jenkins suffered in round two.

"It's interesting, I did hear the broadcast a little bit earlier when you were talking about Josh Jenkins," he said on Triple M.

"I've got to say, looking at Travis's incident yesterday, I suspect he's got exactly the same (injury) as Josh.

"The trouble with that cartilage is it's very hard to diagnose."

Jenkins is still out and is currently a week by week proposition for the Crows.

White gave a rough time frame on Cloke's recovery if he's hurt his cartilage.

"He's probably having some further scans this morning," he said.

"I suspect he's got a cartilage injury and that can take a little bit longer than a rib injury.

"A rib can be three to four (weeks), a cartilage can be up to six, particularly if they're a little bit displaced."
