Richmond superstar Dustin Martin set the MCG alight last night in one of the most dominant individual displays in recent memory.

The highlight of his performance, however, was comfortably this barrel he unleashed to set up a goal to teammate Josh Caddy.

Martin gathered the ball 40m out from Carlton's goal, ran to the edge of the centre square and sent the ball a remarkable 78.3m.

According to the Fox Footy Lab, who measured the kick last night, it ended up travelling just over 80m before it was gathered by Caddy in the other forward 50.

Memories cast back to Ben Graham's remarkable torpedo in 1999 where - after measurement - he sent the ball over 85m from the goal square:
