Adelaide midfielder Ebony Marinoff broke the record for most tackles in a game today — for men's or women's footy.

Marinoff had 21 tackles, smashing the record of 19 held by jointly by Tom Liberatore, Jack Ziebell and Jude Bolton in the men’s game.

The women’s record was held by Sarah Hosking in Carlton’s round 2 win over GWS.

Marinoff’s remarkable effort came amongst dreadful conditions in the clash between the Crows and GWS at Blacktown International Sportspark, with torrential rain making play extremely difficult.

Conditions also contributed to a low scoring game, with the match finishing in a tie — both sides scored 2.7 (19).

The draw hasn’t done either side much good — they sit sixth and seventh respectively, with just a win apiece.
