Players from Essendon went to a Washington Wizards’ training and showed off some of their footy skills recently.

A group of Dons players and staff, including Michael Hartley and Martin Gleeson, rocked up to Wizards’ training and tried to teach some of the Washington players how to kick.

Kelly Oubre Jr spoke about the training session afterwards.

"It's pretty dope. I had a good time,” he said.

“I was trash but you know, those guys go out and play their hearts out. They play on a 200-yard field, which is crazy.

"No pads, straight gutter, killing people, knocking people out, so it's cool."

No word on yet if any of the Wizards are tempted to run a code switch.
