Former Fremantle and Melbourne player Colin Sylvia has faced court after allegedly filming his ex-girlfriend while she slept.

Police allege Sylvia first sent his ex abusive messages after the breakup of their seven year long relationship, before climbing her balcony and confronting her last night.

The 31-year-old is said to have run away when she called police, but he allegedly returned and hid in a vacant unit nearby and spied on her.

When police arrived at the Windsor property, they allegedly found video he’d secretly recorded of her sleeping.
