Former Collingwood premiership player Heritier Lumumba's startling fallout with Pies coach Nathan Buckley was once again thrown into the spotlight over the weekend.

The polarising figure gave an in-depth interview with The Age's Caroline Wilson ahead of a tell-all documentary, 'Fair Game' set to premier on SBS On Demand later this month.

Lumumba took exception to a number of issues inside Club walls, with Buckley's dismissiveness of his feelings towards racial and homophobic incidents at the Magpies seeming to be the straw that broke the camel's back, with Lumumba calling Buckley an "insensitive f**k" during a heated verbal clash.

Now it seems that a former teammate has thrown his support behind the 2010 All Australian, with former American import Shae McNamara applauding Lumumba for "telling the truth".

"Telling the truth, will expose the shadow that, sadly, still lurks," McNamara wrote on his Facebook page while also sharing the original article from The Age.

"H's mission isn't for retaliation, but to heal the past and bridge us towards universal love."
