Former St Kilda midfielder Clint Jones has gone berserk in the WAFL.

Jones, who captains the Perth Demons, has long been a strong ball winner at WAFL level, averaging 33.5 disposals a match from the start of last year.

But, on Saturday, he smashed that out of the park.

The 33-year-old recorded a whopping 53 disposals in Perth's match against East Perth, made up of 24 kicks and 29 handballs.

He also had five marks, four tackles and hit the scoreboard, kicking 1.2.

It was a monstrous effort from the former Saint, coming off the back of a 42-disposal match in round four.

Even more so considering only three of his Perth team mates topped the 20-disposal mark: Aidan Tropiano (39 disposals), Corey Byrne (35) and Michael Sinclair (31).

The whopping effort came against a few West Coast players like Mark Hutchings, Luke Partington, Lewis Jetta and Fraser McInnes.

It wasn't enough to bring Perth the win, losing 17.13 (115) to 14.11 (95).

Clint Jones played 149 games for the Saints from 2007 to 2014.
