Star Fremantle midfielder/forward Michael Walters is confident he will be available for the Dockers’ season opener against Port Adelaide on March 24.

Walters missed the last five games of the 2017 season after tearing the posterior cruciate ligament in his left knee against Hawthorn.

However, luckily for the 27-year-old he didn’t require surgery.

“My knee is feeling good this pre-season and I should be good to go by round one,” Walters said on Monday.

Walters enjoyed another stellar campaign last year, averaging a career-high 19 disposals and booting 22 goals to finish fifth in the club’s best-and-fairest.

Despite missing five games, he still finished fourth at the club for inside 50s, fifth for contested possessions and sixth for clearances.
