Fremantle superstar Nat Fyfe’s Brownlow hopes have been rocked after he was handed a one-game suspension on Monday.

Fyfe was offered the ban for striking Collingwood veteran Levi Greenwood at the MCG on the weekend.

His only hope of winning a second Brownlow Medal is if he takes the case to the tribunal on Tuesday.

North Melbourne youngster Jy Simpkin is also facing a stint on the sidelines after he was offered a two-game suspension for engaging in rough conduct against Brisbane’s Allen Christensen.

Christensen failed a concussion test after being hit in the second quarter and took no further part in the game.

Richmond defender Alex Rance can accept a $1000 fine for staging against Essendon on Saturday night.

Hawthorn veteran Shaun Burgoyne and Brisbane hard nut Mitch Robinson can accept $2000 fines for engaging in rough conduct against Port Adelaide’s Jared Polec and North Melbourne’s Shaun Higgins respectively.

The Power’s Tom Rockliff ($1000), Gold Coast’s Touk Miller ($1000) and Fremantle’s Darcy Tucker ($1500) were all fined for making careless contact with an umpire.

Power midfielder Sam Powell-Pepper can accept a $2000 fine for misconduct against Hawthorn on-baller Jaeger O'Meara, Gold Coast’s David Swallow has been offered a $2000 sanction for tripping former teammate Gary Ablett and North Melbourne defender Scott Thompson has been slapped with a $3000 for striking Brisbane’s Dayne Zorko.

Meanwhile, Adelaide star Bryce Gibbs was cleared of contact with GWS midfielder Stephen Coniglio. Match review officer Michael Christian said Gibbs was moving towards the contest and his knee comes into contact with Coniglio as he ducked his head down between his legs to reach for the ball.

Gibbs' actions were deemed to be not unreasonable and that contact was caused by circumstances outside his control.
