Freo released the following statement:

“The Fremantle Football Club has advised the AFL it will challenge Nat Fyfe’s one-match sanction for striking during the club's clash with Collingwood on Sunday at the MCG.

“Fyfe made contact with Collingwood’s Levi Greenwood during the third quarter of the game.

“Based on the available video evidence and a medical report from the Collingwood Football Club, the incident was assessed as intentional conduct with low impact to the head, which carries a one-match suspension.

“Fremantle has decided to challenge the ban and risk the $10,000 fee if it is upheld.

“If the appeal is successful, Fyfe will be free to face Adelaide at Optus Stadium this Sunday in a clash that will be his 150th for Fremantle.

“The tribunal hearing is set to be held on Tuesday.”

Arguably JB’s best call of the weekend involved Jordan Lewis’s hair!
