The first ever footy game at Perth's new stadium could see as much as 50,000 fans rock up.

Fremantle will open proceedings at Optus Stadium with their round two clash against Collingwood locked in as the venue's first game of footy.

Thanks to the huge value in tickets - they're selling for just $2 with proceeds going to charity - the Dockers have already sold a whopping 38,000 for the event.

They are huge numbers, and it will lock the fixture in as one of the best attendances for a women's team sporting event in recent memory.

38,000 alone would surpass the crowd record for a single AFLW game with ease.
