Adelaide forward Josh Jenkins has suffered a further setback, with the big man ruled out of this week's clash with Essendon.
Adelaide revealed on Tuesday Jenkins hadn't recovered as initially hoped after injuring his ribs in round two against Hawthorn.
The club further investigated the injury, which revealed he had significant damage to the costochondral cartilage as well as deep thoracic bruising.
After just missing out on selection for the round three Showdown, the Crows have listed him as a week-by-week proposition.
The Crows have also confirmed another blow to their forward line, with Mitch McGovern ruled out with a serious hamstring injury.
McGovern was helped from the ground in the last quarter of Adelaide's win over Port Adelaide after sustaining the injury.
It is yet to be determined whether he will require surgery.
