Garry Lyon has ended his 23-year association with Channel Nine after being lured to Fox Footy in a special comments role for 2018.
Lyon is the second high-profile recruit for Fox Footy following on from St Kilda legend Nick Riewoldt.
The move means Lyon will call footy on TV for the first time since 2006 when Nine last had the rights.
"I can’t wait to kick off the 2018 season with my new Fox Footy teammates. I’m looking forward to debating all the latest footy news with Dermott (Brereton) and Jason (Dunstall) and getting a first-hand look at the famous Fox Footy Lab," Lyon said in a statement.
Lyon was best remembered on Nine for co-hosting The Footy Show for 11 years and Footy Classified for 10 years.
