Geelong coach Chris Scott has told Triple M’s Rush Hour that the ‘Big Freeze 4’ slide on Monday could be extra ‘frosty’ when he sees his brother, and North Melbourne coach, Brad Scott.

All 18 AFL coaches are participating in this year’s icy slide at the MCG before the Queen’s Birthday clash between Melbourne and Collingwood in an unprecedented show of support for the legendary Neale Daniher as he fights to find a cure for motor neurone disease.

The Cats and Kangaroos face off on Saturday in one of the matches of the round at Kardinia Park and Chris Scott revealed that the couple of days following those meetings historically are never too warm between the identical twins.

“There is (heat between us on game day),” the Geelong coach said.

“I just don’t think it’s as funny for us as it appears to be for others. I wish it was more fun but because it’s so serious, it’s what we do and we put so much work into it.

“It takes the edge off a little bit if you win and it’s really annoying when you lose to your brother.

“We speak a fair bit, so there’s a respectful distance in the week of the game but there’ll be a respectful distance for the day or two afterwards as well – that’s always a little frosty one way or the other.

“We’re going down the slide with the other coaches for the ‘Freeze MND’ on Monday so that might be the first time we talk so it could be frosty in more ways than one.”
