Gold Coast have had an embarrassing day out against Brisbane, failing to register a single goal in the NEAFL.

Brisbane won 12.24 (96) to 0.4 (4), a margin that could have been greater had they kicked straight.

Gold Coast's side contained 11 AFL-listed players, including the likes of Peter Wright, Kade Kolodjashnij, Jack Scrimshaw, Will Brodie and Josh Schoenfeld.

Two of Gold Coast's four behinds came to Wright, with Schoenfeld kicking one and the other rushed.

They went scoreless in the second and fourth quarters.

Marco Paparone starred for Brisbane with 36 disposals and 10 marks, while midfielder Ryan Lester had 30 disposals and two goals.

The boys on the Saturday Rub were taken aback.

"We look at the last two premiers: Richmond lost the reserve grand final, Bulldogs won the won before," Wayne Carey said.

"You've got to have depth underneath."

"Is this real?" Fresh off yet another playoff series win, the Sunday Rub team was apparently joined by LeBron James!
