The Perth call team for Triple M Footy dropped a bombshell tonight live on-air.

Andrew Embley, former West Coast Eagle, has claimed that the new Perth Stadium is sinking, as much as 70mm to date.

He revealed the details on the call tonight, in the lead-up to the West Coast versus Swans game at Domain Stadium.

Perth’s new billion dollar stadium is the flagship work in progress in WA at present, being built on a former industrial waste dump and in close proximity to the Swan River.

A government spokesperson provided the following statement to Triple M Footy:

- The rumour alleging problems with the main flooring area at Perth Stadium is categorically false.

- There are no delays with the installation of the flooring at Perth Stadium

- Perth Stadium is 75% complete.

It’s a case of watch this space as to how much the stadium has actually sunk and if so, how much it will impact the integrity of the construction, if any.

The stadium is expected to be completed later in the year.

More to come.
