Retiring Bulldogs duo Matthew Boyd and VFL captain Jordan Russell have been given a guard of honour to mark their last game of football for the Dogs.
The Dogs went down to Port Melbourne in today's semi-final meaning their 2017 campaign is over.
Port Melbourne waited around after the final siren as a mark of respect for two great contributors to the AFL/VFL system.
Watch the guard of honour:
Boyd is a well decorated Bulldogs legend with 3 All-Australian guernseys, 3 Charlie Sutton Medals and captained the AFL team between 2011-2013.
Russell played 125 AFL games with Carlton and Collingwood is was captain of the Bulldogs VFL side and holds a development coaching role with the club.
Port Melbourne 16.11 (107) defeated Footscray 12.15 (87)
A nice mark of respect from the Borough!
