GWS Defender Concussed In The Opening Seconds Against Collingwood
Big head knock
GWS defender Aidan Corr's day is over after copped a very heavy concussion in the first 30 seconds of the Giants’ game against Collingwood at Spotless Stadium today.
Corr courageously went back with the flight of the ball into a marking contest and ended up being tripped over by a falling Phil Davis as he took the mark.
His flipped over backwards and his head hard on the turf hard, appearing to be knocked unconscious.
Watch it here:
Corr was helped off the ground by trainers, but was able to walk unassisted to the race.
The 22-year-old Irishman unsurprisingly failed the concussion test and won't be able to take any further part.
The Giants trail Collingwood 2.2 (14) to 6.4 (40) at quarter time.
