GWS defender Adam Kennedy has signed a contract extension that will see him remain a Giant until the end of 2020.

The 24-year-old is currently recuperating from a season-ending ACL injury suffered against the GWS in round 7.

He joins a long list of players to recommit to the Giants, with Tim Taranto, Will Setterfield and Harry Perryman all signing on until 2020 during the week.

Prior to the injury Kennedy had been in excellent form, and the Giants have shown faith in him.

“A lot of the guys I’m really close to have extended their contracts lately and there was no hesitation from my end,” Kennedy told the club’s website.

“The club has always been great to me, but especially since my injury and this is where I see my future.

“We’ve come a long way as a group and I believe there are plenty of exciting times ahead.”

Kennedy came to the Giants as a player who had previously been overlooked in the draft in 2011.
