GWS half back Zac Williams’ season is in doubt after he ruptured his achilles tendon.

Williams suffered the injury during a training session this morning.

It’s brutal blow for Williams, who had enjoyed a career best season in 2017.

He played 23 games last year at an average of 22.17 touches per game.

Williams will meet with a specialist on Monday morning to decide if surgery is required.

The Giants’ season gets underway with AFLX games on Saturday February 17, with their pre-season JLT series fixtures starting on March 1.
