GWS forward Jeremy Cameron has been referred directly to the tribunal for his sickening hit on Brisbane defender Harris Andrews.

The first-quarter incident left Andrews unconscious and needing to be stretchered from the ground.

He also required four stitches in his chin.

Andrews was taken to hospital later on Saturday night and it has been since revealed that he has suffered bleeding on the brain.

The Brisbane vice-captain has been ruled out of the next two matches at least.

Carlton veteran Dale Thomas has been offered a one-week game suspension for engaging in rough conduct against Collingwood’s Levi Greenwood.

Carlton pair Sam Rowe ($1500) and Patrick Cripps ($1000) were fined for being involved in a melee along with Collingwood duo Taylor Adams ($1500) and Brayden Maynard ($1000), who was also fined $2000 for striking Blues youngster Sam Petrevski-Seton.

Fines were also dished out to Gold Coast pair David Swallow ($2500) and Charlie Ballard ($1000), Brisbane’s Darcy Gardiner ($1000) and North Melbourne star Ben Cunnington ($1000) for making careless contact with an umpire.

Hawthor defender James Frawley ($1500), Cunnington’s teammate Shaun Higgins ($2000) and Carlton on-baller Ed Curnow ($1500) can all accept sanctions for misconduct against Gold Coast’s Alex Sexton, the Bulldogs’ Josh Dunkley and Collingwood captain Scott Pendlebury respectively.

Meanwhile, GWS midfielder Lachie Whitfield ($2000) was also fined for striking Brisbane’s Dayne Zorko.
