Hawthorn look to have their work cut out for them this weekend against a rampant Geelong outfit.
The Hawks have enjoyed a resurgence in the past three weeks, with wins against Collingwood and ladder leaders Adelaide as well as a draw with premiership fancies Greater Western Sydney.
But they’re going to have to continue that vein of form on Saturday at the MCG if they are any chance of beating the Cats who are sitting pretty in third spot and are fresh from an 85-point demolition job of the Brisbane Lions.
However, in Hawthorn’s favour is the fact that they have won five of Luke Hodge’s six career milestone games.
The four-time premiership champion runs out for his 300th game this week, becoming just the eighth Hawk to do so.
