Four-time premiership superstar Sam Mitchell has picked former teammate Mark Williams as the best shot for goal he ever saw.

Williams, who played 111 of his 115 games for the Hawks, including the 2008 premiership, finished his career on 247.127 at an astonishing accuracy rate of 66 percent.

“Probably Mark Williams, the ‘Shotgun’ Williams, although ‘Clarko’ (coach Alastair Clarkson) didn’t like his shotgun too much, but he was a beautiful shot for goal,” Mitchell told Triple M’s Rush Hour

“It didn’t matter when it was, whether it was a big game or a nothing game, he was just a dead-eye all the time.

“Another one was probably Shaun Burgoyne - particularly when the game matters.”
