After more than two seasons out of the game, Hawthorn recruit Jaeger O'Meara is set for a comeback in Round 4.
If the timing is correct, the former Sun will don the brown and gold in a massive Easter Monday clash against Geelong.
Hawthorn staff say that O'Meara is tracking well for the 2017 season.
"We could not be more happy with the way he is going," Hawks football manager Jason Burt told the Herald Sun.
"It is pretty clear he wants to play as soon as he is ready … if that is in the first couple of months of the season then fantastic.
“He has been out for a long time, so Jaeger is not going to push things because he knows the result at the back end of the year is going to be pretty special."
