Key GWS defender Nick Haynes was dealt an injury scare when he went down with a knee injury late in the third term.
Haynes fell from a marking contest with what appeared to be a dislocated kneecap.
He spent a few moments on the turf before bravely coming to his feet and trying to stay on the field.
He stayed on the ground for a few moments before eventually being called to the bench with seconds remaining in the term.
Triple M boundary rider Liam Flanagan said Haynes was good to continue.
"Haynes is fine boys, he's back out there," he said.
Triple M's Dale Lewis noted players can play through dislocated kneecaps if they come back in, such as former teammate Daryn Cresswell who infamously slapped it back into place.
"He did not miss a game. He played the following week," he said.
