Western Bulldogs key forward Jack Redpath has had his suspension upheld by the AFL tribunal.

Redpath's season now looks over as he faces three weeks on the sidelines after initially being handed a two-week suspension by the MRP for striking GWS co-captain Phil Davis in their Round 21 clash.

The Bulldogs chose to appeal the decision knowing that they risk adding an extra week's suspension as they fight for a place in the top eight.

Redpath will now miss do-or-die clashes against Port Adelaide and Hawthorn and any potential final in the first week of the post-season.
