Jake Lever has gone down with a knee injury from an innocuous incident in the first term of the Western Bulldogs/Melbourne clash.

Lever hurt his knee changing direction in the backline, immediately coming off the ground.

"Huge story down here, Jake Lever has pulled up very sore," Triple M boundary rider Neroli Meadows said.

Dr Rohan White was worried about his lateral ligament.

"He was pointing to the outside of his knee," he said.

"Could be a lateral ligament. Looks bad."

Brian Taylor noted Lever had a history with his left knee from his junior footy days.

"He did his ACL in his final year of his TAC Cup on his left knee," he said.

There were also concerns for Jake Melksham with an ankle injury and Tory Dickson with a hamstring.

Billy Brownless copped a roasting from Neroli Meadows during the Saturday Rub quiz!
