Collingwood midfielder James Aish's day is over after copping a knock to the head in the Pies VFL final against Richmond this afternoon.

This follows a number of head related injuries this season, leading to Aish wearing a helmet for a number of games.

He broke his cheekbone in Round 9 and missed with concussion in Round 18 in two separate incidents.

Channel 7’s Nathan Templeton reported on the boundary that Collingwood made the decision to take him off.

“James Aish is out for the match with concussion,” he said.

“He copped a knock in the first half, was feeling average at half time. He’s now gone into the rooms to get changed.

“He’s out of the match."

Aish played 8 senior games this year.

The Tigers lead the Pies by 23 points half-way through the last quarter.
