"Go and get him"

Triple M Footy’s James Brayshaw believes West Coast should recruit North Melbourne ruckman Braydon Preuss for next season.

The Eagles will be without star ruckman Nic Naitanui for most of 2019 as he recovers from another knee reconstruction while Scott Lycett looks set to join Port Adelaide.

Preuss has been starved of opportunities at the Kangaroos behind first-choice ruckman Todd Goldstein and JB thinks he would be a perfect fit for the Eagles.

“I keep saying Braydon Preuss – go and get him,” JB told Triple M’s Rush Hour on Monday.

“For me, because he’s not going to cost you much, he’s going to give you everything he’s got every week.

“You’ve got two styles of ruckmen – either the elite ones, like the real good ones, or blokes that just run into people ... that’s what ‘Preussy’ gives you.”

Billy Brownless said West Coast were also looking at Jordan Roughead, Tim English and Tom Hickey to fill the ruck breach next year.
