Triple M Footy’s James Brayshaw believes GWS gun Dylan Shiel is worth more money than Port Adelaide forward Chad Wingard.

Rumours continue to surround the futures of the star pair with both players being linked to Victorian clubs for the upcoming trade period, despite each having a year to run on their contracts.

Wingard and Shiel are rumoured to be attracting $1 million-a-season contracts from rival clubs but while Wingard might be a two-time All-Australian, JB believes Shiel should command a bigger price tag.

“He’s worth more than Wingard. I’m paying a lot more for Shiel than Wingard because Shiel day in day out gets the job done for you,” JB told Triple M’s Rush Hour during The Midweek Rub.

Damian Barrett said both players will command similar money if they join new teams and that Port Adelaide is actually happy for Wingard to chat to Melbourne-based clubs but hope he stays with the Power.

“It would suggest it’s line ball at the very best,” Damo said of Wingard’s chances of staying at Alberton.

Nathan Brown said that while Wingard had the potential to be a top five player in the competition, he wasn't worth $1 million a season.
