James Stewart Speaks About Calling Darce 'Moons'

Essendon forward James Stewart has addressed his on-air blunder after the Bombers victory last weekend against Geelong.

After his debut for the Bombers, Stewart was interviewed in the rooms by Channel 7 duo Luke Darcy and Matthew Richardson only to mistake 'Darce' for Fox Footy commentator Cameron Mooney.

The AFLPA website interviewed the former GWS Giant about whether his Bombers teammates have been giving him any stick for the incident.

"Yeah, there has been a little bit of banter after that. I’ve tried to claim that I did it deliberately as a bit of an ice-breaker," he said.

"Honestly, it was a blue and it has probably created a nice blooper for me. Fortunately, Matthew Richardson and Luke Darcy were able to have a laugh about it and keep it humorous.

"It was a funny sequence of events and I don’t know what was going through my mind at that point!"
