North Melbourne's Jarrad Waite has confirmed he will retire at the end of the season.

The 35-year-old told his teammates on Tuesday afternoon next week's game against St Kilda will be his farewell.

Waite retires after 184 games and 252 goals at Carlton before exercising his free agency rights, joining North Melbourne in 2012.

He played a further 59 games and 122 goals at North Melbourne.
