Jay Clark Says The Decision On Jarryd Roughead’s Future Could Be Made Soon

Jay Clark said the decision on Hawthorn Skipper Jarryd Roughead’s future could be decided in the next six to seven weeks.

Jay-Z said on The Rush Hour with JB and Billy today that Alastair Clarkson may handle Roughead’s playing future in similar fashion to that of Luke Hodge, Jordan Lewis and Sam Mitchell — suggesting the possibility of retirement or a trade will be considered.

“He (Roughead) is one of the most popular players in the league, but his form is tapering off a little bit,” Jay-Z said.

“We know that Alistair Clarkson has made some uncompromising, really tough decisions on the list… I think that the decision on Jarryd Roughead could be made in the next six to seven weeks.

“Hawthorn could get him to stay at the club in an off-field role.”
