Triple M Footy news breaker Jay Clark says that the Gold Coast Suns are “quite convinced” that co-captain Tom Lynch will leave at the end of this season.

List manager Craig Cameron sought clarification from Lynch over his future, not wanting to leave negotiations until the end of the year.

Speaking on the Winter Breakfast with Seb, Lehmo and Roosy, Jay-Z said that the Suns came away from the chat convinced that Lynch will leave.

“I can tell you that the Suns met or spoke with Tom Lynch late last week and essentially sought an early answer off him,” Jay-Z said.

“They didn’t want to leave it until the end of the season.

“They asked him late last week whether Tom Lynch was likely to leave at the end of the season, and while the superstar forward said he formally hadn’t made a decision yet — he does wanna speak with his family after his knee surgery — the Suns are quite convinced that he is leaving at the end of the season.

Jay-Z said Lynch — who is from the Mornington Peninsula — will most likely end up in Melbourne, and reeled off a few clubs most likely to secure his services.
