Jeremy Cameron has been suspended for five games.

CAMERON ADDRESSES MEDIA:

The GWS star was found guilty of intentionally striking Brisbane defender Harris Andrews after a deliberation by the tribunal that lasted more than half an hour.

Cameron pleaded not guilty to intentionally striking Andrews, but pleaded guilty to careless conduct.

Brisbane's medical report showed Andrews suffered a severe concussion and was knocked out for several minutes, needed four stitches in his chin and will miss at least two matches.

Cameron's defence argued he was intending to spoil the ball until Andrews made contact, at which point he turned to defend himself and brace for impact.

Nick Pane QC argued the strike was intentional as Cameron's elbow was always higher than his fist.

Cameron expressed remorse for the incident, apologising to Andrews both on the field and the day after via a text message.
