Jesse Hogan has reassured the Demons he will not leave the club in this year's trade period, according to Triple M's Jay Clark.

Hogan reportedly spoke to Nat Fyfe on Tuesday, with suggestions the Dockers could make another play for the 22-year-old during this year's trade period.

But that suggestion has been shut down, with Clark's Herald Sun report suggesting it was no more than a social catch-up, and that Hogan wants to honour his contract.

The report says Hogan has told both his club and his management of his desire to stay at the Demons.

The star forward is tied to the Demons until the end of 2019.

Melbourne football manager Josh Mahoney said earlier in the week the Demons have no intention to trade Hogan.

The 22-year-old has been linked to a return home in the past, with Fremantle previously making a play for him.

Hogan has played 51 games for the Demons, kicking 105 goals.
