Geelong captain Joel Selwood will be free to face Sydney next week.
Selwood was originally handed a one match ban by Match Review Officer Michael Christian, but contested the charge at the tribunal tonight.
He appealed the charge on the grounds that he felt the strike on Lindsay Thomas was careless rather than intentional, and that the impact was negligible rather than low.
After over an hour of deliberation the verdict was found.
