Collingwood midfielder Jordan de Goey has been punished further for lying to his football club.

Triple M's Damian Barrett has reported de Goey has copped it further for lying to the club about being in a fight, which gave him a broken hand, and lying to the Magpies about it.

Collingwood initially said de Goey had been fined $5,000 and copped a three-week AFL suspension after his hand had healed, plus 10 hours of community service.

But more has been issued by the Pies on the youngster, according to Barrett.

"There's also, on top of that, an alcohol ban," he said on the Friday Huddle.

"(The club) will say that he's volunteered that, other people might say that they suggested that to him, but there is an alcohol ban as part of this sanctioning process.

"There's also a requirement for him to be there at times, the first person to arrive at the club, and on certain days - on those same days - the last player to leave.

"They're going to make him learn and earn the right to come back into that team."
