Triple M Footy’s Damian Barrett has told Trade Radio that Jed Anderson will sign a new two-year deal with North Melbourne.

The promising North Melbourne midfielder’s immediate future had been under a cloud since the end of the season as negotiations with the club seemed to stall.

But after a breakout 2018 season, Anderson now looks set to call Arden Street home until the end of 2020 at least.

The 24-year-old joined North Melbourne at the end of 2015 on a three-year deal after three seasons with Hawthorn.

He played 21 of his 46 career games with the Kangaroos this year, averaging 20 disposals and kicking seven goals.

Anderson was ranked fourth at the Kangaroos this season for disposals, second for tackles, third for clearances and second for contested possessions.
