St Kilda midfielder Koby Stevens will miss several weeks at least after experiencing concussion symptoms.

Stevens copped a knock to the head in round one but continued playing until concussion symptoms had developed three weeks later.

After not playing at any level last weekend, the Saints have decided to rule him out until symptoms subside.

“As is normal practice, Koby won’t return to training until the symptoms have subsided and he’s given the all clear from our doctors," St Kilda general manager of football Simon Lethlean said.

“While we can’t put a timeframe on that, he’ll continue to work closely with our conditioning and medical teams over the next few weeks and complete the necessary tests.”

Should the premiership cup be named after someone? Triple M's Wayne Carey has suggested naming it after one of the AFL's biggest legends.
